News

I can now reveal that I have been making 300 special knives for BSA Guns in Birmingham. These knives have been released with some special guns that celebrate their 150th anniversary, the first of which was released at this years Game Fair. This has left me with little stock something that will be remedied soon with some really great Damascus blades.

I'm also pleased to anounce that I will be offering a folding knife (lock knife) featuring an Enzo D2 tool steel blade which will of course take a superb edge & hold it much longer than many cheap knives on the market. I have made one so far for a special order which was a complete success. Photo's coming soon.

I am also able to offer custom engraving of blades either on the face of plain, or on the spine of Damascus blades, this just personalises the knife, making the finishing touch to a wonderful gift. Please enquire for prices, average is about £10 per knife for a two word name.

Prices on the site do not currently include VAT as I have not had time to work out exactly how that will affect them, my initial feeling is that most of the VAT will be absorbed within the price marked, please contact me directly (email) & I will work out a price if you have a specific knife that you are interested in.

John Patrick an ex Rolls Royce engineer having spent a life time in various roles within the UK's manufacturing industry, ranging from Aerospace through to high quality optics. Since being made redundant in 2009 has embarked on a new career in manufacturing hand made hunting knives of the highest Quality. John has spent a lifetime in the sporting field & from this his interest in speciality knives has grown a small business, his knowledge has been acquired through many years of shootng & fishing coupled with traditional engineering skills acquired when an apprentice at Rolls Royce Aero engines. From Engineering, Photography, to his latest endeavour John Patrick employs all his skills & immeasurable patience to the quest for perfection in everything he does.

The Knives.

Blades, only the best blades are selected, high quality Damascus blades of many layers of steel from the worlds finest producers, to stainless steel, laminated & carbon steel blades from some of Europe's & the USA's finest makers, Arduos Enterprises, Mora, Frosts, Polar, Kaanukapaa, Snake River to name but a few.

Handles, John Patrick only employs the finest materials in making each knife, from exotic woods & bone to the most modern materials like Dymondwood (Trademark), & the finest stabilized woods. John Patrick designs each knife individually, hand making rivets, bolsters, spacers etc to suit the particular blade selected. Once the parts are selected the knife is assembled with meticulous care with attention to every detail each taking many hours to complete.

 Sheaths are hand made from the finest specially made leather 3 mm thick finished both sides, stitched & dyed by hand.

Custom Knives

Custom knives can be ordered, however materials & style must be agreed & a 50% deposit placed on acceptance of order, 3-4 weeks must be allowed for delivery as John Patrick is always busy & materials are sometimes difficult to source.
